White people should learn vernacular.

Being an african means that you where once upon a time under oppression or a slave, but it also means that you are born in Africa. Africans speak more than two languages with one or more been vernacular (which means: the native speech of an area) and anyone who is the second generation (which is open to first generations by choice) to be born in Africa is an African and so will their kids and most white people in Africa are Africans, with that said most don't speak vernacular. Ever since they colonised Africa they've been more interested in teaching us their languages rather then learning ours, so maybe, it is time for them to learn our languages, they have been in this continent far to long to be still considered europeans or outsider and going back to their ancestral lands is not a option for them as the question can easily be; WHERE? TO WHAT?

In South Africa we have 11 official languages for them to pick from, and with so many options you must like one. You, the white person living or born in Africa have the responsibility to learn about your people and yes, your people. Every black child is born into a family that is Zulu/Tsonga or english but they learn from playing with other kids a second or third language, what is wrong with your children? What is wrong with you? How come you have been in this land for so long but yet it is still shocking to find that one white person who speaks or is interested in Zulu or any vernacular? Unless you are in Durban, it is rare to find a vernacular speaking white person. What is wrong with you?

This is one of the reason why some South Africans will never vote for a white president because they will never see white people as one of us and as a result ANC may never lose power and they are becoming a corrupt party and the country will pay, hence Jacob Zuma's R230 million house renovation. I believe that the country needs to pick a new ruling party so that our current leading party can have time to reflect on all the things they could have done and fail to provide. I say this as a die hard ANC support but recently (for the last two elections) I have voted for DA, I feel that ANC has been in power since 1994 and under Nelson Mandela they achieved and reach a lot of their goals to provide housing, education, facilities and basically improved the lives of the poor but the new leaders have done the opposite. They have done all that is in their power and beyond to line their pockets with money, renovate their homes, spread their power and influence to get more wealth, and push their self serving agendas but housing for the poor is still not been built. These are my presidents:
•Nelson Mandela; people's president, freedom from apartheid, father of the nation and world leader.
•Thabo Mbeki; diplomat, negotiator, childless, intellectual, foreign investments, debt and job creation.
•Jacob Zuma; 21 kids, R230 home improvements on a house he actually doesn't own, wastage of tax payers money, e-tolling, the end of Scorpions, and the list goes on (feel free to add).
ANC has become too comfortable and secure in their rule over the country, they feel untouchable and above the law. With the gap that is between poor and rich, languages, it is ease to blame it on apartheid and yes we can blame it on apartheid but thing my generation should not be apartheid driven. And been a white African who doesn't speak vernacular is not helping, it makes it hard for you to be seen as one of us therefore it is not hard work but because your white and that's why you got the promotion.

Crime in South Africa will always be there and I say this because I escaped being robbed on the 29-11-12 which is a story for a different blog, but most South Africans blame foreign nationals which is a perfect cover for the real criminals and the fact that most white people compared to blacks live a better life, and are in higher positions in the workplace. And it is ease to see white people as different, not one of us, europeans whom we are still slaves to, the rich ones, privileged but maybe if they actual took the time to learn some vernacular languages depending on which African country they are on maybe they would be seen as part of the land.

And yes with education any black person stands a chance to be more than the boy, receptionist, driver, junior level employee but because the average family does not have access to funds or education needed, to knowledge about the funds/facilities that are meant to help them which is a crime. Crime is a direct result of poverty, oppression, and someone's way to make a living and one other crime is bribes which reach all the way to the highest levels of authority with the authorities (not all of them) that are in power being corrupt officials at the expense of the country and people, not to say that the country is corrupt but some admit that they are eating bribe money which is crime money which they are fully aware of. So how are we suppose to get access to knowledge and education with our tax money been misused, how are we ever going to reach equity.

Some South Africa understand that they need foreigners and foreign investment in other to succeed but with corruption that is hard. They also understand (I hope) that they cannot chase away white people from the country as they have a 'good' example in Zimbabwe, countries that where on top of the world but are now struggling and needing money. So in conclusion; learn some vernacular, remember you are Africans and be proud.

Public funds were not spent on building South
African President Jacob Zuma's a house in his
home village of Nkandla, state investigators said
on Sunday, in a report that sought to end one of
the biggest scandals to hit Zuma before elections
    next year.

“There is no evidence that any house belonging
to the president was built with public money,”
Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi said, following
an investigation by a task team.
