Military chapel prepares for Mandela

This is by far the saddest moments for us South African as we all adjust to the fact of Mandela's impending death.

I have felt offended and also came to accept the situation as we now wonder why the machines have not yet been turned off despite our hope and our prayers for his survival. The military chapel in Pretoria that will prepare Nelson Mandela's body when he dies has been prepared and news crews are camped outside the hospital in wait.

As a world figure, he has been the symbol for reconciliation, peace and love. Mandela is our father and like any child we believe him to be immortal not just in spirit, yet, at the same time we want him to rest and to get the peace which his worked so hard for.

A part of me believes that the decision to turn off the machines should it arise is not or will not be a an easy one and any one Mandela family member could not possible make it as the risk of been accused of faul play could easily destroy the family.

The Mandela family is Royalty, to see them strong gives the nation hope and strength un-parallel to nothing else. typing an african name on any computer or smart phone always leaves you having to ignore each word/name but not with Mandela, he is recognised an first living African in history books (normally you have to die first).

"I pray for nothing new but that Mandela lives to be a +150yrs, I pray my future children will have the opportunity to meet this man who has served the human race"
